CABEL is an ongoing project incorporating elements of video, performance and installation, made in collaboration with Anna Gruman. The video component of CABEL is a T.V. which uses tropes associates with 1980’s buddy cop shows, advertisements, music videos and variety shows to tell the story of Tom Cain (played by Anna Gruman) and Jerry Abel (played by Eva Heaps). Unbeknownst to them, Cain and Abel are fated to relive the narrative of fratricide and exile ascribed to them in the book of genesis. 

 

CABEL is displayed as an analog transmission on CRT televisions in an immersive installation.
