Going to Church Won't Save your Planet: Making Eden Multiplanetary.mp4.obj is a three channel video installation of 3D animations. The form of the piece is inspired by early renaissance tryptic alterpieces, like The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch. This work looks at the movement towards interplanetary travel as a means to escape the crumbling ecosystem of earth piloted by SpaceX.

Technocrats like Elon Musk are the ones who heralded as messiahs in our age, one which faces the imminent secular apocalypse of climate change. His vision of utopia is merely repeating the harms of colonialism and consumerism that got earth to state it’s in now. This work looks at the space travel as a colonialist applications of technology.
